As a technician at Stegall Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical, my day starts early. By 7 AM, I’m already reviewing the schedule for the day ahead. Today, we’ve got a mix of air conditioning installations and AC repairs across Birmingham and its neighboring areas.
First Stop: AC Repair in Mountain Brook
Our first call takes us to a lovely home in Mountain Brook. The homeowner reported their AC unit making strange noises. After a thorough inspection, we discover a loose fan belt. It’s a quick fix, and soon enough, the system is humming along quietly.
Midday: HVAC Installation in Vestavia
Next up is a full HVAC installation in Vestavia. This job takes up most of our day, but it’s satisfying work. We’re replacing an outdated system with a new, energy-efficient model. The homeowners are thrilled about the prospect of lower energy bills and improved comfort.
Afternoon: AC Service in Hoover
After lunch, we head to Hoover for routine AC service. Regular maintenance is crucial for keeping air conditioners running efficiently. We clean the coils, check refrigerant levels, and ensure all components are in good working order.
Evening: Emergency Call in Helena
Just as we’re wrapping up for the day, we get an emergency call from Helena. A family’s AC has completely stopped working on one of the hottest days of the year. We rush over and diagnose the problem: a failed capacitor. Luckily, we have the part on hand and can fix it on the spot.
Wrapping Up: A Cool Satisfaction
As the sun sets, we make our way back to the Stegall headquarters in Homewood. It’s been a long day, but a fulfilling one. We’ve helped keep Birmingham and its surrounding areas cool and comfortable, and that’s what it’s all about.
